Joint Meeting April 17, 2012

The meeting was called to order at 7:30PM by President Arsene VanVooren at the Barrister Gardens. A moment of silence was observed for deceased member Frank Mahieu and longtime Women’s Auxillary member Angie DeCoster.

A roll call of Officers and Board members showed all present except Bob Grant, John Roelandt and Al VanDenBergh, Jr. A motion was made and supported to dispense with the regular order of business.

Larry Mahieu thanked everyone in attendance for the cards and prayers in memory of this father. He also has a few CD’s from their concert for sale.

Arsene was taking names for the June golf outing. Norm Kay announced that Chuck LeFevre, who had been on the sick list, was in attendance.

Our Chaplain Father Jim Commyn then led the 120 guests in grace before our meal.

A delicious feast was then served by the dynamic duo of Chuck and Gary.

Our DJ for the evening was Josef Nagraba, who did a marvelous job since the dance floor was always crowded. A special thanks to Anne Putrycus, Marion Allemon, Diane Baier and Lucy Deckers who helped get the desserts ready; thanks also to Butch DeSmet and his son Matt, along with Matt’s guest for handling the liquid refreshments.

The raffle winners were: Antoinette DeHoorne, Butch DeSmet, John Danckaert, Mike Ouvry, Dee Dee Allemon, Frank Baecke, Joe Aluia, Betty Vercruysse, Kandy Myny, Ted Westfall, Mike Gray, Lou Danckaert, Maggy Deprez, Ed VanRossen and Mel Ferdinande

The meeting was adjourned at 8:00pm.
