General Meeting February 21, 2012

With 92 in attendance, President Arsene VanVooren called the meeting to order at 7:30pm at the Barrister Gardens. A moment of silence was observed for deceased members Donald Putrycus and Ray Laene.

Roland Deprez updated the membership on our finances and Bob Grant reported membership at 280.

President VanVooren asked for any complaints about the January Board dinner, but did not receive any. Arsene also reported that the Trough Bowling went well for the 60 folks in attendance.

Membership Chairman Dale Verhaeghe introduced 3 guests for the evening, Joe Yager, guest of Bob Grant, Tony DeSchutter, guest of Camille DeSchutter and Scott Rheah, guest of Tony Cappizzo. Dale then introduced membership applicant Rene VanTeehan, who was then sworn in by President VanVooren.

Band Chairman, Larry Mahieu has tickets for their spring concert at the Greek Cultural Center on March 31st for $23.00 each.

Larry also reported for Norm Kay that his father, Frank Baecke, had a pacemaker installed and is doing well.

Bernie Allemon reported on the deaths of Donald Putrycus, a member since 1981 and Ray Laenen, a member since 1966. May they both rest in peace.

Chuck Myny reported that the website has been updated and now has a list of club activities for 2012.

Our chefs, Gary and Chuck changed our regular lunch menu to chili dogs and chips, which everyone enjoyed.

There were 20 prizes raffled at this meeting.
