General Meeting March 15, 2011

The meeting was called to order by President Arsene VanVooren at 7:30pm at Barrister Gardens with 82 members in attendance. A moment of silence was observed for deceased members Marcel Ramaut and George VerMeersch.

Bob Grant reported membership is at 294 with 31 still not paid for 2011. Bob was also passing out the new directories.

President VanVooren discussed the upcoming Feather Bowling outing on March 27th at Bath City Bistro. He also announced that there will be an Elvis impersonator at the April Joint Meeting.

Vice-President Dale Verhaeghe introduced Henry Couke, guest of Carl Czupinski and Jim Horvath, guest of Cy DeWitte, our guests for the evening.

Larry Mahieu still has tickets for the Band’s concert on April 16th at the Greek Cultural Center.

Norm Kay reported that Gabe DeKimpe, who had been in the hospital, was in attendance, and Mel Ferdinande had been back in and out of the hospital.

Bernie Allemon reported on the deaths of members Marcel Ramaut and George VerMeersch.

Webmaster Chuck Myny was trying something new in the upcoming bulletin – check it out.

It was reported that Bob Janes’ daughter had said that their house was going to be sold and that they would be staying in a nursing home.
