General Meeting March 17, 2009
The monthly meeting of the B.A.A. was held at the Barrister Gardens. Prior to the start of the meeting, President Arsene VanVooren
called the Board together to review and approve the application for membership from Daniel Kardasz. The meeting was then called to
order at 7:30pm. A moment of silence was observed for deceased member Charles Roelandt. A roll call of officers showed all present
except Bob Grant, Bill Meldrum, and Al VanDenBergh, Jr. A Thank-You card from the family of Charles Roelandt was read thanking the Club
for the monetary donation to DeLaSalle High School.
Roland Deprez read the February 2009 financial report and informed the membership that a copy of the report will be at the head table for
perusal. President Arsene VanVooren announced that the new directories were available at the front table.
Arsene spoke of the upcoming Trough Bowling at Bath City Bistro and the two casino trips. Bob Putrycus was collecting for the April
casino trip this evening. Arsene is also looking into a Tiger Baseball game along with the Hazel Park outing. More details will follow
on these events.
Vice-President Dale Verhaeghe introduced membership applicant Daniel Kardasz who was then sworn in by President Arsene VanVooren.
Band Chairman Larry Mahieu still has tickets for the Band concert.
Sick and Visiting Chairman Norm Kay announced that Ed Commyn who had been in the hospital was in attendance, Ray VanHoet was recuperating
at home and Henry Verlinden was in the hospital for leg surgery. Norm also reported on the death of Charles Roelandt, son of the late
Arden Roelandt.

Mel and Chuck, our kitchen crew reported that lunchmeat and veggies would be served.
Our attendance chairman, Scott Schumacher, had 20 prizes to raffle to the 83 members in attendance.
President VanVooren reminded the members that the April Joint meeting will be held at the Barrister House.
The club is looking into sponsoring a softball team again this year and Rick Dauw will provide the Board with details.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:10pm.
