The meeting was then called to order at 7:30pm by President Arsene VanVooren at the Barrister Gardens. Norm Kay and Larry Mahieu were
the only Board members absent.
A moment of silence was observed for deceased member Rafael Jaecques. President VanVooren then swore in membership applicants Marshall
DeSmet, Edward VanRossen, and Matt VanSteenkiste.
The Marshalls then proceeded to pass out the ballots for the proposed by-law change pertaining to the election of Officers and Board
members. The proposal was voted down with final results of 48 to 37.
The minutes of the April Joint and May Board meetings were read and accepted.
Treasurer, Roland Deprez, read the April 2008 financial report which was accepted as read subject to audit.

President VanVooren was filling in for Entertainment Chairman, Norm Kay who had undergone back surgery again. He was giving out tee
times for the June golf outing. The picnic is now on July 20th as the previous Sunday was already booked. Contact Norm if you want
tickets for the Hazel Park outing on August 15th. The annual softball game is September 21st as again, the regular date was already
booked, and we had no other choice.
Recreation Chairman, Leo Michaels reported the scores were the same as in the bulletin as there were no games in April due to the Joint
meeting.
Gary, with the help of his brothers Dick and Mike served lunchmeat and veggies with some cake from the ladies.
